Ansley and Colin met at Middlebury College where they were both "Febs" (starting college in February). In the summer of 2019 they both stayed on campus performing summer research. They had mutual friends from the start, but didn't get close until the summer of 2019 when they worked in adjacent biology labs. This picture is from the first time they hung out solo. Colin made dinner for her because Ansley was cooking her meals on a hot-plate in her window. They invited their friend Brent to join them but he cancelled last minute - thank you Brent for engineering their first "date"!

Here is Ansley presenting her findings, under the mentorship of groomsman Daniel, at the Summer Research Symposium to Colin. He is paying close attention!

This is the first official portrait of the happy couple! They weren't even dating yet when Christy snapped this picture - she must have known something they didn't. Ansley and Colin officially started dating in the fall of 2019.

COVID very rudely intruded into Ansley and Colin's studies in the spring of 2020. On the bright side, Colin got to live with and get to know Ansley's family! Here they are with Ansley's Dad, Jefferson, Step-mom, Christy, and siblings in western North Carolina.

Later that spring, Ansley's Mom, Amy and stepdad, Craig, invited them to spend the summer of 2020 in Montana! Here they are at Lava Lake, which is where Craig proposed to Amy! The couple spent the summer hiking, fishing, fossil hunting, and avoiding igniting a forest fire with a particularly aggressive Traeger grill.

After graduation, Ansley and Colin moved to Washington DC. Here is Ansley finding some fossilized treasures along the Chesapeake Bay.

They returned to Vermont in the spring for a delayed but deserved college graduation celebration!

In the summer of 2022 they relocated to Athens, GA for Ansley to start medical school. She'll be graduating just a few weeks after their wedding!

Moving to Georgia was been full of new experiences for Colin, a native of Syracuse, NY. Here he is showing off one of his favorite parts of southern living - nearly year round fresh produce!

Colin ran his first half marathon in Athens, crushing his goal time. The race is an annual tradition.

They adopted the world's sweetest cat, Debbie (ask anyone who knows her, it is a fact).

Colin asked Ansley to marry him in front of Schoolhouse Falls in the Nantahala National Forest, near where they first went hiking with Ansley's family in 2020. They're so excited to share their love with you all this April!

Colin and Ansley have been thankful they can travel back to Syracuse to get their fill of snowy weather while they've been living in Georgia. Here they are enjoying a hike with Colin's parents, Doug and Elaine, and his brother, Cameron.
